Winter conditions in Delhi and adjoining areas of the National Capital Region (NCR) are set to intensify, with the weather department forecasting cold wave conditions in the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the fog in Uttar Pradesh has increased due to an anticyclone over western India and surrounding areas and the active western jet stream in the upper atmosphere.

Hence the CSE’s conclusion calls for reflection ~ “Peak pollution was alarmingly high and synchronized, despite large distances within the regions ~ especially in the northern and eastern plains.”
