The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the final travelling groups from South Africa and the West Indies have safely departed from India after being stranded following the end of their campaigns at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
After days of uncertainty caused by travel disruptions linked to the West Asia crisis, players and support staff from the West Indies and South Africa have gradually begun leaving India on commercial flights after repeated delays to an ICC-arranged charter flight following their exit from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, two-time champions England are departing from Mumbai on Saturday evening, while West Indies — champions in 2012 and 2016 — will leave on a separate charter flight from Kolkata along with the South African team.
England have gone on ahead in the first Test without Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes.
"I scored a century against England in the Caribbean, but I would love to get one in England," Chase said.
