A cyber team of the South Delhi district has apprehended three fraudsters for duping a couple of Rs 5 lakh impersonating as CBI officials.
The incident took place on October 18 in the Prashant Vihar area of North West Delhi’s Rohini at midday when five men posing as courier delivery personnel forcibly entered the house of the couple and robbed them at knifepoint.
Passing the double-death sentences to the trio on 27 April, Fourth Additional Sessions Judge Anil Chaudhary observed that the crime fell under the ‘rarest of rare’ category.
