Addressing a meeting at the state headquarters of the Congress, the chief minister alleged, “Today, there is a dearth of labour for big industrialists like Adani and Ambani. If MGNREGA is abolished, the rural poor would again migrate to the cities and Adani and Ambani will get labour at lower wages.”
Another turncoat MLA in Telangana, Kadiyam Srihari, has submitted a counter affidavit to Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, denying that he has defected to the Congress. Srihari, elected from Station Ghanpur Assembly Constituency on a BRS ticket, submitted the written affidavit in response to the notice sent by the Speaker following a disqualification notice filed by the BRS.
He said that the state government would write to the Centre urging it to confer the award on the poet who inspired the statehood movement with his numerous songs, particularly the state anthem “Jaya Jayahe Telangana”.
He said the state has already approached the Centre several times on the shortfall in urea supply.
Six armed robbers entered the Khazana jewellery shop in Chandanagar shortly after the staff opened the shop. Failing to to open the safe, they shot at the assistant manager of the shop, Satish Kumar, in the foot before shooting down the CCTV cameras.

As earthmovers worked overnight to level the 400 acres of land at Kancha Gachibowli, the Telangana government issued a statement clarifying that it was the sole owner of the land and blamed some political parties and real estate groups for misleading students.
