The BRS had filed these petitions seeking the disqualification of a total of ten MLAs for voluntarily giving up the memberships of the BRS after winning elections on its ticket.
During the Assembly debate, Chief Minister Reddy emphasized the significance of the move, calling it a "permanent solution to a long-pending demand for classification among SC communities."
The Telangana Assembly secretary has finally served notices on the 10 dissident BRS MLAs, who had defected to Congress after the Assembly elections, following a SLP filed by the BRS in the Supreme Court against them.
