Reacting sharply to the statement, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav said, “Whether it is a green scarf or a blue scarf, such remarks do not suit a person holding the position of Chief Minister.”

Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav, on Monday, alleged that the NDA government has betrayed the women of Bihar, claiming that as the government sensed defeat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, it opened banks even during the elections to influence voters.
Without naming former chief ministers Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi, Nitish Kumar stated that the people of Bihar have already given them a chance in the past, but instead of serving the public, their focus was on personal gain.
Commenting on Tejashwi Yadav’s promises, Choudhary said, “He claims he will provide government jobs to 2.7 crore people. Currently, there are about 22 lakh government employees, for whom the government spends Rs 85,000 crore. If 2.7 crore people are given government jobs, it would cost Rs 12 lakh crore, while Bihar’s total budget is only Rs 3.17 lakh crore.”
Announcing this at a press conference attended by all the alliance partners, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said that the decision was made with the consent of his party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi.
Yadav said that the aim of Mahagathbandhan is not just to form the government or become CM but to develop the state of Bihar.
