Bengal govt to give letter of intent on Tajpur port development to Adani Group

The West Bengal government will soon hand over a letter of intent (LoI) to Adani Port & SEZ Limited for setting up and developing a deep-sea port at Tajpur in the East Midnapore district. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 25,000 crore.

The state government is yet to decide on whether it would go for a second call for Tajpur port or not. The bidder who is selected would be given 125 acres of seafront to develop the port and another 1000 acres situated 4 km away for portlinked industrial development.
