A bench headed by Justice Nageswara Rao noted that she has been in jail for over six years and the trial won't be concluded in near future. The bench also noted that the case is based on circumstantial evidence and that even if 50 per cent of the witnesses are given up by the prosecution, the trial would not get over soon.

Indrani Mukerjea and her husband Peter Mukerjea, co-accused in the murder case of her daughter Sheena Bora, are former promoters of the INX Media Group.
Peter Mukerjea, arrested in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case in 2015, had moved the bail application in November last year.
Indrani is lodged in Byculla Jail in Mumbai and had been rushed to the hospital twice last week after she complained of headache and double vision.
Both Indrani and Peter are facing trial in the Sheena Bora murder case. Sheena (24), Indrani's daughter from an earlier marriage, was allegedly killed in April 2012.
