The SEBI said this in an adjudication order where it imposed a penalty of Rs 2 lakh on Williamson Magor and Company Ltd (WMCL).

Reacting to the development, the IREDA stock fell 3.2% to quote Rs 125.2 apiece on the NSE in the early morning trade.
The capital market regulator has asked PNB Housing to undertake the valuation of shares from an independent valuer before moving ahead with the issue.
Post the transaction, Puri was expected to be nominated to the PNB Housing Finance Board as a Carlyle nominee Director in due course.
Sebi on Monday barred Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) from launching any new debt scheme for two years and imposed a penalty of Rs 5 crore for violating regulatory norms in the case of winding up six debt schemes in 2020.
In a separate statement, Vivek Kudva said that he is reviewing the Sebi's order and considering appropriate next steps which may include filing an appeal before the SAT.
In traded volume terms, 19.07 lakh shares were traded at the BSE and over 92.72 lakh units at the NSE during the day.
