Australian pacer Scott Boland has shared his excitement of facing England in the iconic Ashes series at home coming summer.
The 36-year-old pacer boasts the sixth-best bowling average in Test history (minimum 50 wickets) but remains behind Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood in Australia’s pace hierarchy.
Boland soon joined the party, grabbing a sensational hat-trick to skittle West Indies out for just 27, the second-lowest total in Test history.
However, despite all his credentials, the 36-year-old is still in the dark about his place in the Playing XI for the WTC final against the Proteas.
Rogers felt Boland should be considered for the upcoming series in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India, where the pitches offer less bounce and carry.
At the MCG on Tuesday, Boland's efforts on his Test debut helped Australia beat England by an innings and 14 runs to grab an unassailable 3-0 lead and retain the Ashes.
