Justice NV Anjaria, Justice Vijay Bishnoi, and Justice Atul S Chandurkar were on Friday sworn in as judges of the Supreme Court, taking the top court to its full sanctioned strength of 34 judges.
Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice Venkatanarayana Bhatti were administered the oath by the Chief Justice of India, Justice D.Y. Chandrachud.
While the top court welcomed the two new judges in Justice Mishra and Justice Viswanathan, it today bid farewell to Justice KM Joseph, Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice V Ramasubramanian, who are retiring on June 16, June 17 and June 29 respectively.
"We are also making some contribution. Judges of this court are also making a contribution for the flood relief fund," the bench said.
