For nearly 48 years, the Rastogi family lived without stability after grocery trader Ramsharan Das Rastogi was killed during the riots that scarred Sambhal in March 1978. His body was allegedly dumped in a well during the violence.
CM Yogi expressed shock over the partial report on the Sambhal riots, published in newspapers and circulated on social media on Friday, noting that the riots occurred during the rule of the SP and Congress.
The 450-page report was prepared by a three-member judicial commission constituted under the chairmanship of retired Justice D K Arora of Allahabad High Court.
