Former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav has not withdrawn his nomination for the Lok Sabha election from Bihar's Purnea seat despite being asked by Congress to take back his name.
In Patna, Lalu Yadav's elder son and RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav also celebrated the festival at his residence and extended his heartfelt wishes to the people on the occasion of Holi.

In a fresh move, Chirag joined the Opposition in attacking the Nitish Kumar government after a link road to a bridge which was inaugurated by the chief minister barely a month back was washed away by the floodwaters on Wednesday.
Both are so desperate that they have continued launching stinging attacks on the parties, especially the main Opposition RJD, seeking postponement of elections citing corona pandemic.
“Nitish Kumar has conceded defeat even before elections and hence is placing such demands before the Election Commission through his men,” RJD spokesman Mritunjay Tiwari said.
Reports said the five RJD’s Members of Legislative Council (MLCs), Upper House of the Bihar legislature, walked to the chamber of acting Council chairman today and submitted their resignations.
