The Congress on Sunday organised a massive protest rally titled “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhor” (Vote Thieves, Vacate Power) at Ramleela Maidan in Biswan, Sitapur, against the alleged electoral malpractices by the BJP-led government at the Centre.
Sources said a meeting of the BJP legislative party is likely to be held on Wednesday afternoon to take a final decision on the new CM.
The mega rally was attended by top Opposition leaders, including Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, NCP(SCP) chief Sharad Pawar, and Shiv Sena (UBT) boss Uddhav Thackeray.
The mayor of the civic body, Jai Prakash informed that North DMC has provided the Ramleela Maidan to Delhi Govt for developing a Covid hospital there.
