More than a geographical entity, Rajnath Singh described Gujarat as a "spirit" that consistently shaped India's direction through its leaders and entrepreneurial community.
The visit which is scheduled from September 22, is at the invitation of Minister Delegate of National Defence of Morocco Abdeltif Loudiyi, and will underscore the growing strategic convergence between India and Morocco.
The defence minister further highlighted the bravery and patriotism displayed by the Indian soldiers during various battles fought during the war, including the Battle of Asal Uttar, Battle of Chawinda and Battle of Phillora.
In his keynote address, the Defence Minister appreciated IDES officers for successfully fulfilling a dual responsibility, managing over 18 lakh acres of defence land and ensuring the welfare of civilians residing in 61 cantonments pan-India.
He also said that India rejected third party intervention in the ceasefire during Operation Sindoor as no outside player can interfere in India’s internal matters. “Today, India does not take dictation from anyone; it writes its own script,” he said.
