Raja Raghuvanshi, who was in Meghalaya for his honeymoon with his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, was brutally killed in serene Weisawdong by three men in a chilling plot allegedly orchestrated by his spouse and her suspected lover and co-accused Raj Kushwaha.
On Tuesday, the police produced Anand Kurmi – the fourth accused arrested from Basahari village in Bina, Madhya Pradesh – in an Indore court, which approved his transit custody till June 16 and handed him to the Meghalaya Police.
It was that murder weapon that indicated foul play, prompting police to extend their investigation across state lines.
The family of Raj Kushwaha, who has been accused as the alleged mastermind in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, has come out in his defence, asserting that he is innocent and incapable of committing such a crime.
