Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested 528 criminals under Operation Yatri Suraksha and recovered stolen railway property worth over Rs 74.66 lakh during the Financial Year 2025-26, Northern Railway General Manager Rajesh Kumar Pandey informed on Friday.
As part of an ongoing initiative to curb illegal transit, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway intercepted four major cases of unaccounted cash and contraband goods across various divisions.
Rail Robocop “ASC Arjun,” deployed for surveillance and patrolling, detected a suspect by matching his facial image with the pre-loaded database of known criminals. The system immediately alerted the RPF CCTV Control Room, Visakhapatnam.
