Explosions in Quetta follow reported rocket strikes across key areas, even as protests and rights groups highlight a growing number of missing persons cases in Balochistan.
The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) has completed 6,000 days of continuous protest in Quetta, marking one of Pakistan's longest-running human rights campaigns. Families of the disappeared have gathered outside the Quetta Press Club for nearly sixteen years, holding photographs and documents as they wait for answers that remain elusive.
While the Pakistani army claimed it was targeting "terrorists", witnesses stated that the victims were unarmed civilians who had gathered for a picnic at a national park, as reported by The Balochistan Post.
