Taking a positive view of Quad that brings together India, Japan, Australia and the United States on a common platform, the official declined to confirm if South Korea would like to be a member of the grouping.

The liaison office was opened in September 2018, days before the South's President Moon Jae-in flew to Pyongyang for his third summit with Kim.
Kim Yo Jong said that "the right to taking the next action against the enemy will be entrusted to the General Staff of our army.
"We urge the DPRK to return to diplomacy and cooperation", the spokesperson further added.
The threats come with inter-Korean ties at a standstill, despite three summits between the North's Kim Jong Un and the South's President Moon Jae-in in 2018.
