Mann govt releases ₹2,150.73 crore under social security schemes, fulfilling commitment to Punjab’s most vulnerable sections

Reaffirming the Punjab government's unwavering commitment to the welfare of economically and socially vulnerable sections, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr Baljit Kaur said that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, released ₹2,150.73 crore under various Social Security Schemes during the current financial year up to June 2026.

 Environment Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said the Punjab Pollution Control Bureau (PPCB) has installed Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (CAAQMS) in six cities - Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Khanna, Mandi Gobindgarh and Patiala to monitor the ambient air quality on a real-time basis.
