Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said these raids were planned after the questioning of recently arrested gangsters and criminals.
The arrests came hours after a third explosion took place on Wednesday midnight in Galiara, the pathway and park around the Golden Temple, behind Guru Ramdas Ji Niwas (inn) building, the police said.
Police teams recovered 2.5 kg heroin and over three quintals of poppy husk, narcotics, pharma drugs and huge quantity of illicit liquor and lahan (raw material used to make liquor) during the statewide operation.
