Chief Minister Mann stated that clear instructions have been issued to private banking institutions to refrain from executing property attachments or land confiscations for loan recovery.
The Punjab government has introduced its Farm Stay Policy-2026, aiming to create new income opportunities for farmers by promoting rural tourism and allowing agricultural landowners to develop regulated farm-based accommodation facilities for visitors.
Chadha further claimed that state resources were being deployed to threaten dissenting voices. “The Punjab government has hired agencies and is using public funds to intimidate us, including through social media,” he alleged.
In a parallel move, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is also scheduled to meet President Murmu on the same day at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Mann has called his meeting with the President crucial to safeguarding the “mandate of the people of Punjab” and upholding democratic values.
Pathak said he has not received any formal or informal communication regarding the two FIRs, and that media reports remain his only source of information so far.
The minister said, “The Punjab government is deeply committed to ensuring a harassment-free and conducive business environment. This is precisely why we have extended the One-Time Policy, offering traders a golden opportunity to amicably settle their pre-GST arrears.”
The roadmap outlined by the Punjab Cabinet Sub-Committee includes four major Shobha Yatras originating from Varanasi, Faridkot, Jammu and Bathinda. The four Shobha Yatras will converge at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, regarded as the revered tap asthan of Guru ji.
The series of outcome-oriented meetings reflected a calibrated strategy to deepen partnerships with corporates and financial institutions, expand industrial capacity, and lay the foundation for sustainable, skilled, and long-term employment.
The initiative focuses on the rapid upgradation of major roads and key junctions in the state’s largest urban centre to improve connectivity and ease of movement for commuters.
On the outreach of the scheme, the Minister said that applications were received through the Ashirwad portal from 12 districts, including Faridkot, Ferozepur, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Fazilka, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Patiala, SBS Nagar, Sangrur and Tarn Taran. “An amount of ₹13.05 crore has been sanctioned to cover all eligible beneficiaries from these districts.”
