The day began in Haryana's Jind, shifted to Chandigarh by the afternoon and concluded with a high-profile rally in Jalandhar.
He highlighted steps taken to honour iconic regional figures, noting that the Mohali Airport has been named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The launch event came shortly after Prime Minister Modi flagged off the country’s inaugural hydrogen-fueled passenger train from Jind in Haryana.
Referring to infrastructure development, Jayant Chaudhary said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would dedicate five redeveloped railway stations in Punjab, adding that the upgraded facilities are part of the Centre's efforts to modernise public infrastructure in the state.
"Had a great exchange of views with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia. India and Malaysia will continue to work together to diversify bilateral cooperation," Modi said in a post on X, highlighting the positive outcome of the meeting.
Government sources confirmed that the Prime Minister spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and took an update on the situation, which is being closely monitored at the highest level.
