Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra has assumed the charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
It has also approved the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for raw jute for the marketing season 2026–27.
The award reinforces POWERGRID’s expanding portfolio beyond conventional transmission into advanced grid solutions, including energy storage and smart grid technologies.
Weeklong observance of Vigilance Awareness week 2025 concluded at the Corporate office of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE under Ministry of Power, Government of India.
The buses were ceremonially flagged off by Shri R. K. Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director, POWERGRID, and Dr. M. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, in presence of senior dignitaries of POWERGRID, including Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), Sh. Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects), Sh. Jasbir Singh, Executive Director (CSR) along with senior officials from POWERGRID and AIIMS.
The award was received by Sh. Ravindra Kumar Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director, POWERGRID along with Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), POWERGRID.
During the AGM, the company’s key financial highlights, operational achievements, and future growth prospects, technological innovations and initiatives were presented and the queries raised by the shareholders were addressed by the management.
Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal inaugurated the International Conference cum Exhibition titled GRIDCON 2025.
The project, estimated at Rs 1.88 crore, will significantly enhance the hospital’s ability to deliver critical healthcare services, underscoring PMJTL's commitment to improving the public healthcare system especially for the people from vulnerable backgrounds.
