Poland has in the recent past expanded its political and economic contacts with Islamabad. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, himself visited Pakistan in October last year and the talks focused on widening cooperation in trade, investment, energy, defence, education and counterterrorism.
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who is on a three-day visit to India, landed in New Delhi on Monday to further develop the Strategic Partnership between India and Poland.
New Delhi is expected to follow the development closely, given India’s own recent presidency and sustained role in shaping G20 priorities.
