The PM CARES trustees further decided to nominate eminent persons for the constitution of the Advisory Board to PM CARES Fund, which includes Rajiv Mehrishi, former Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
Sharing that about 36 One Stop Centers (OSC) had been sanctioned for Telangana, out of which 33 are already operational, she welcomed fresh proposals from the state to increase the number of OSCs, if required.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release benefits under the PM CARES for children scheme on Monday at 10:30 AM via video conferencing.
Modi will dedicate these oxygen PSA plants in an event at the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
“Apart from this, thousands of crores poured into the fund from the private players and the educational institutes and 38 PSUs and other several private players used their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to contribute over Rs 2,105 crore to the fund. The CSR funds are meant for cash-strapped NGOs,”
He also said that through these schemes, efforts are being made to mitigate financial difficulties that may be faced by them.
In case the child is to continue under the care of guardian/ grandparents/ extended family, then he or she will be given admission in the nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya or in a private school as a day scholar.
The basic version consists of a 10-litre Oxygen cylinder, a Pressure Regulator cum Flow Controller, a Humidifier and a Nasal Cannula.
PM has directed that these plants should be made functional as soon as possible.
The plea also seeks disclosure of its audit report periodically.
