During a ceremony on Monday, President Droupadi Murmu presented four Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan and 57 Padma Shri Awards for the year 2025 at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-I held in Ganatantra Mandap of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Odisha government on Wednesday announced Rs 25,000-a-month honorarium to Padma awardees from the State in recognition of their achievement in various fields.
The seven personalities, including former president of the Sahitya Akademi Prof. Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of art, literature and education, medicine, science, and social work, will be conferred the 'Padma Shri'.
On the occasion, Union Minister for Tribal affairs Shri Arjun Munda said that listening to the life’s journey shared by tribal Padma awardees today is a great experience.
