Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said that Sharad Pawar and his NCP would be welcome in the NDA, if he joins the BJP-led ruling alliance.
The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) submitted a memorandum to the President regarding the rising burden of fuel prices, the national examination system, and the alleged growing insecurity among minorities, among other issues.
According to the formula, the BJP will contest 11 seats, the Shinde-led Sena will contest 4 seats, and the Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP will contest 2 seats.
Sources said that the BJP stand, which was discussed at a meeting of the Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP on Tuesday evening, has not gone down well with her partymen.
However, earlier on Thursday, Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLA Rohit Pawar said, “We will hold a press conference regarding the merger of both the NCPs soon.
Hindurao's statement was also confirmed by Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLA Rohit Pawar who shared more details about it later, by making allegations about Delhi-based aircraft charter company VSR and a political consultant Naresh Arora known to be close to Praful Patel, who allegedly arranged for the ill-fated aircraft.
The charges have been brought against 27 accused, including the alleged shooter, in the murder of NCP leader and former minister Siddique, under provisions of the MCOCA, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bombay Police Act, and Arms Act.
NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar was taken to Ruby Hall Clinic Hospital in Pune after some complaints of cough and difficulty in breathing. He was in Baramati.
Pawar's last rites were carried out with full state honours at the Vidya Pratishthan ground in Baramati on January 29, where his sons lit the funeral pyre and carried out the final rituals.
