Sharad Pawar’s party to join NDA but tussle continues for Maha Finance Ministry

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said that Sharad Pawar and his NCP would be welcome in the NDA, if he joins the BJP-led ruling alliance.
The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) submitted a memorandum to the President regarding the rising burden of fuel prices, the national examination system, and the alleged growing insecurity among minorities, among other issues.
According to the formula, the BJP will contest 11 seats, the Shinde-led Sena will contest 4 seats, and the Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP will contest 2 seats.
Sources said that the BJP stand, which was discussed at a meeting of the Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP on Tuesday evening, has not gone down well with her partymen.
Reacting to the development on Monday, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar stated that "Uncle (Sharad Pawar) and nephew (Deputy CM Ajit Pawar) have come together, which means they (both the NCPs) have merged
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday announced that the two NCP factions would come together for the PCMC polls, saying the move was aimed at preventing a split of votes.
The victim was identified as Muhammad Motaleb Shikder, a student leader of the National Citizen Party (NCP), the same party to which Osman Haidi belonged.
In the Opposition’s Maha Vikas Aghadi, the Congress was leading in 32 local bodies, followed by NCP–SCP with nine and Shiv Sena (UBT) with eight.
"He has never been aggressive anywhere. Ajit Dada has continued to do his work peacefully during this period. Dada's work is appealing to the people," Ajit Pawar-led NCP MLA Amol Mitkari said.
