Authorities have declared holiday for all schools and colleges in Raigad district till Thursday amid the 'red alert' issued by the weather department.
Pakistan will evacuate around 100,000 people as part of its efforts to ensure the safety of those living in the country's coastal area as cyclone Biparjoy is intensifying, according to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) chairman Inam Haider Malik.

The weather department also predicted rain in Delhi for the next two to three days and no heat wave is predicted until May 30
The pollution in and around Delhi has reached an alarming level as the air quality index (AQI) has been recorded as very poor on Wednesday.
"The low-pressure area over south Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists," said a MeT official.
"The east-west shear zone roughly along latitude 15 degrees north between 5.8 km and 7.6 km above mean sea level persists," the MeT official said.
Rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over easter and western Uttar Pradesh on August 16 and 17.
