The LG was inaugurating the new girls hostel at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday conducted an on-site inspection of the construction work of ‘Balidan Stambh' at Pratap Park in Srinagar.
Sinha was addressing the inaugural session of the 6th J&K Agricultural Science Congress on “Diversification of Agriculture for Self-Reliant Mountain Agro-Ecology” here.
He commended the people of J & K for their contribution in taking the region on the path of normalcy.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday directed the officers for tricolor illumination of prominent buildings, tourist spots and border villages across Jammu and Kashmir on the Independence Day. He also asked for organizing activities in the honour of prominent personalities who contributed in nation building.
“It is a historic day for Jammu and Kashmir and a new beginning for thousands of landless families,” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said.
The Lt Governor directed the concerned departments to make all necessary services accessible to the pilgrims at railway stations, airports, on travel routes and Yatra base camps.
The Lt Governor said along with the unprecedented development, the spiritual aspect of Jammu Kashmir is also scaling new heights.
Not only job aspirants but also political parties have criticised the LG’s administration for making the sensitive issue a prestige matter.
