Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday announced that 2,000 teams of scientists will soon be deployed across all districts of the country.
Delivering his presidential address at the 4th meeting of the Governing Council of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) at its headquarters in New Delhi, he laid special emphasis on the importance of the upgradation and integration of laboratory infrastructure.
Officials at the National Diseases Surveillance Programme unit of Uttar Pradesh said, samples will now be sent for genome sequencing to these labs as well.
