The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday raised an alarm as 158 transformers were damaged in the past four days across the Kashmir valley due to the use of banned heating equipment.
KPDCL further stated that around 40 empanelled Solar PV Vendors are being onboarded on the National PM Surya Ghar portal, paving the way for rolling out the subsidised scheme in Kashmir Division.
Faced with their failure to provide electric power as per the announced schedule, authorities in Kashmir started tightening noose around "erring consumers" on Saturday.
