Amid intensifying speculation over the Congress party’s Chief Ministerial candidate for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, KPCC President Sunny Joseph on Sunday stepped in with a clear directive against premature predictions.
KPCC president K Sudhakaran denied reports that the Congress leadership has restrained the Youth Congress from organising programmes with the participation of Shashi Tharoor.
Eldhose Kunnappilly, informed the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) leadership, which had sought an explanation from him that he was innocent and the case was fabricated. The MLA has stated that the case was politically motivated.
K Sudhakaran, in the course of an interview, had suggested that politicians from southern Kerala cannot be trusted.
This is being done to finalise the list of office bearers of the party's state unit. K.C. Venugopal, the Congress National Organizing Secretary and MP, is part of the discussions.
