The Budget size rises from ₹1.65 lakh crore in 2025-26 to ₹1.72 lakh crore this year. Capital expenditure has been pegged at ₹26,500 crore, reaffirming the state’s emphasis on asset creation and long-term economic capacity.
Addressing people at an event in North East Delhi while presenting her government’s one-year report card, Gupta said her position carried great responsibility, not privilege, and that in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), leaders are entrusted with responsibilities.
He said it was possible with proper coordination and also because Delhi now has a triple-engine government with constant support from the Centre.
The Chief Minister informed that this ambitious project would develop three new corridors totaling 16 kilometers in length, including 13 metro stations.
During the financial year 2024–25, Indian Railways carried out track renewal over 6,851 track kilometres. In the current financial year 2025–26, more than 7,500 track kilometres of track renewal work is underway.
He noted that with the launch of the Project Monitoring Group (PMG) and the Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) platform, long-stalled investment projects nationwide have been reactivated.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation is not merely a platform for reviewing major infrastructure projects, but a powerful reflection of the new work culture of New India."
The meeting chaired by Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, Principal Secretary of the FE&CC Department focused on the expeditious processing of Forest Diversion Proposals.
According to officials, the work can resume only in March once the cold subsides.
