The Indian government, however, has not confirmed the Iran links but said the vessels were involved in the illicit transfer of large volumes of oil and oil-based cargo originating from conflict-ridden regions.
The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Amulya was commissioned at Goa Port on 19 December last year, said coast guard officials.
With over 60 per cent indigenous content, ICGS Samudra Pratap is India's first indigenously designed pollution control vessel and the largest ship in the ICG fleet to date.
All of them were brought to Jakhau Port along with the boat. The search of the boat and interrogation of the Pakistani fishermen is ongoing, they said.
These vessels are the seventh and eighth in a series of eight indigenously built FPVs being constructed by GSL for enhancing the ICG coastal surveillance and response capabilities.
