The event was presided over by Smita Vats Sharma, Director General, PIB, along with Dr. Pragya Paliwal Gaur, Vice Chancellor, Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC).
Organised by Doordarshan and WAVES OTT, the grand event marked the festival’s continued journey of blending cinema with music, art and live performance.

Restoring and completing his father’s long-cherished dream project, Shaad described it as an experimental and expensive bonding therapy for the father–son duo.
The festival is scheduled to take place in Goa from November 20 to 28. Superstar Haasan called the film, based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan that has stirred India’s soul, which is bound to resonate across the world.
The Steering Committee works towards the planning and execution of the festival by roping in senior officials from the Government of India and the Government of Goa, along with participants from the Indian and international film industry.

The 55th International Film Festival of India, popularly known as IFFI, ended on 28 November. India’s own film festival had been exhaustive and exploratory this year, with many new, innovative things for cine goers from across the world.
The 2024 edition of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa saw a participation of 11,332 delegates, marking a 12 per cent increase as compared to IFFI 2023, said the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
