Among the eight core industries, the coal sector has demonstrated the highest growth of 10.2 per cent among the eight core industries for January 2024, the Ministry of Coal said on Friday.
The index of the coal industry reached 204.0 points during Dec’23 as compared to 184.4 points during the same period of last year, the Ministry of Coal said.
The combined Index of Eight Core Industries (ICI) increased by 7.8 per cent in November 2023 as compared to the Index of November last year, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry said on Friday.
