Miss Banerjee also assured the state government would take stern action against those who would be found involved in acts of encroachment of tribal land.
During the visit, the chief minister inspected various homestays located in the village and appreciated the villagers.
"A total of 328 homestay owners, out of the 337, in Kalimpong district have qualified for the second installment, with which they will improve their existing homestays," the Kalimpong DM said, adding, "A team has conducted a survey on homestays and screened them for the second installment."
Homestays will soon get their own common national standard and accreditation with the tourism ministry in the process of finalising…
