Kumaraswamy's rejection came a day after a BJP delegation, led by Yeddyurappa, on Wednesday petitioned the Governor in Raj Bhavan seeking the incumbent leader's resignation.
A total of 15 MLAs have resigned from the ruling alliance - 10 from Congress and three from JD (S) by Saturday and two more, including one Independent on Monday.
"All JD(S) ministers have also resigned like the 21 Congress ministers who have submitted their resignations. The Cabinet will be reshuffled at the earliest," the Chief Minister's Office said on Twitter.
