Police have registered a gang rape case after a 40-year-old woman alleged she was sexually assaulted by three men in Virar West. The investigation has been transferred to Bolinj Police Station.
According to police, the incident occurred in Punasa area two nights ago. After the assault, the accused allegedly attempted to kill the woman by throwing her, along with her cot, into a nearby well.
According to the police, the incident was reported on Thursday, and the victim was admitted in an unconscious state to a hospital.

The police filed a FIR against the four accused, including two others who facilitated the assault by guarding the room in which the crime was committed, from outside, in a case of gangrape and wrongful confinement based on the woman’s complaint.
The juvenile delinquents are aged between 10 to 14 years. During questioning, they reportedly confessed to the crime. They were booked under Section 376D (gang rape) of IPC and section 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012.
The incident occurred on May 28 after the victim and accused attended a daytime party at a pub in upscale Jubilee Hills.
