The incident occurred around 1:00-1:30 AM near Vikas Marg under the jurisdiction of Shakarpur police station. According to officials, the motorcycle was carrying a family of four when it was hit from behind by a fast-moving car.
The Managing Director of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), Jitender Yadav, declined to comment after a fatal accident involving a DTC bus left two people dead on Monday.
During the accident, the bus also rammed into an e-rickshaw and struck several people, leaving multiple individuals injured.
At least 10 pilgrims on way to Mahakumbh were killed on the spot and 16 others, who were returning from Prayagraj, were injured when a SUV collided head on with a private vehicle in Meja area on Peayagraj- Mirzapur highway on late Friday night.
The police traced the vehicle involved in the accident a week after an elderly man died after being hit by it.
