The EC reviewed the progress of the SIR program with the Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh, all Divisional Commissioners, and all District Electoral Officers on Friday.
State Chief Electoral Officer( CEO) Navdeep Rinwa informed here on Thursday that the digitization of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is progressing rapidly in the state.
Today was the deadline to distribute 100% of the enumeration forms to 15.44 crore voters in UP. But till 3 PM on Saturday, UP could achieve 94.37% with distributing among 14,57,32,454 voters against the total registered voters of 15,44,30,192 voters.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) Thursday said as of today, 89.7 per cent of the existing electors in Bihar have submitted their Enumeration Forms to be included in the draft Electoral Roll, which is set to be published on August 1.
With 10 days remaining to submit the forms, the Commission said it is making concerted efforts to ensure that all eligible electors are included in the draft electoral roll.
