As Bangladesh heads to elections next week, radical Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami, in its election manifesto, pledged to pursue peaceful and cooperative relations with neighbouring countries, including India, rooted in “mutual respect and fairness”.
The document has been prepared after careful consideration of more than 5,000 suggestions received from students through various platforms, according to an official statement.
Assembly elections will be held in Karnataka on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.
