India’s engineering goods exports continued their growth in the new fiscal year despite logistical and production disruptions caused by the West Asia conflict, said the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) in a statement released here on Thursday.
India’s annual engineering exports to the US average around USD20 billion, which now face exposure to the 50 per cent tariff imposed by the Trump administration.

The share of engineering goods in India's total merchandise exports increased to 27.20 per cent in August, from 26.60 per cent in July, a report showed on Thursday.
Continuing the downtrend, engineering goods exports to China nosedived over 70 per cent in August 2022 to $173.7 million as compared to $619.5 million in the same month last year. As per EEPC India analysis, engineering exports to the European Union (EU) fell 27.3 per cent year on year to $1.47 billion.
