Punjab marks Dr Ambedkar Jayanti with the launch of near-universal women’s welfare scheme

Marking the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar with a decisive welfare push, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday rolled out a near-universal women-centric scheme in Punjab, promising assured monthly financial support of ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 for women across the state.
