Speaking at the Social Harmony Conference, chaired by former Governor Kalraj Mishra, she said, “The previous governments worsened Delhi’s condition over the past 27 years. As the rest of the country progressed, the city was left behind.”
During her visit to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Mangolpuri, the Chief Minister inspected its current condition, reviewed ongoing development projects, and took stock of future plans.
Gupta stressed the urgent need to expedite the preparations for the monsoon season and gave clear directives that desilting of all the city’s drains should be completed by May 31, 2025.
The Chief Minister stated that the firefighting infrastructure inherited from previous administrations was in a severely dilapidated state, which hindered firefighters from responding effectively to numerous fire incidents in the past.
She stressed that pending complaints would not be tolerated in any department and instructed officials to prepare action-taken reports and resolve all outstanding issues on a priority basis.
Speaking at a national conference on obesity, the chief minisgter said the time is to act locally with global impact.
