Congress will launch a nationwide movement from January 5 to defend MGNREGA, party president Mallikarjun Kharge said after the Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi.
The name of the former Congress president was proposed by the incumbent president Mallikarjun Kharge at the CPP meeting at the Central Hall of Parliament here.
"The people have reposed their faith back in us in substantial measures and we must build on it," said Kharge.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that it is the demand of 140 crore Indians and Rahul should accept the post of LoP.
