"It is not right to share the talks that took place with the BJP on a public platform but it is certain that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest the Lok Sabha election from Hajipur," Chirag Paswan said.
Amid speculation of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan joining the NDA, the latter on Sunday said that he will take a call regarding forming an alliance for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections after 2-3 more meetings with party leaders.
It asked both the groups to furnish the name of their party and the symbols which they wish to be allotted for the bye-elections by October 4.
The Prime Minister further hailed Ram Vilas Paswan as a champion of the poor and Dalits.
Senior Paswan and PM Modi were cabinet colleagues.
Chirag Paswan has also invited Union Home Minister Amit Shah and will also extend an invitation to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the same.
The executive committee of the LJP has 76 members and the majority of them are with Paras, electing him as the president of the LJP
