This progress is reflected in the recent approval of 22 projects under the third phase of the Central Government’s Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), which includes four proposals from the state of Uttar Pradesh.

A Bench of Chief Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice K Vinod Chandran allowed the request of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who sought more time on the ground that the government was still finalising its position.
In a statement shared on X, he said, "According to the NCRB report, between 2013 and 2023, there has been a 46 percent increase in crimes against Dalits and a 91 percent increase in crimes against Adivasis."
